Portrait Commissions

Two recent commissions I did for a client who wanted his portrait to be drawn in the style of my Abu Antar portrait. I'm really happy that my portrait of Abu Antar turned out to be such a success!

Spider-Man Meets the TMNT

Pencils, inks and colors by Me.

While watching the 2012 TMNT show the other day I suddenly realized that the Turtles never crossed paths with Spidey although they live in the same city. An idea popped into my head and this happened! I also took the opportunity to redesign Spidey and the Turtles, so this is my own version of the characters.

Yassin Bakoush

So I finally got around to drawing and coloring another Syrian TV character portrait in my own comic-book style. This time I chose to draw Yassin Bakoush.

Yassin Bakoush was a Syrian actor who rose to fame in the early seventies after playing a likeable but naive hotel concierge on the sitcom Sah El Nom. His character on the show was also called Yassin Bakoush. Apparently, the show producers thought the actor's real name was funny enough so they didn't think it was necessary to change it.

Brandon Routh As Kingdom Come Superman

After watching Crisis on Infinite Earths I just had to draw this. As you can see, I started off with a black background but then decided against it.
