Commission: Wonder Woman to the Rescue!

This is an old commission I did several months ago. The client wanted me to redraw this old panel but with Ben Affleck's Batman, Stephen Amell's Green Arrow and Falk Hentschel's Hawkman tied up in a lab while Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman came to rescue them.

I was never really satisfied with the way it came out which is why I didn't post it sooner. I finally decided to post it after I touched it up today since I had nothing better to do. Still not 100% satisfied with it though.

Abu Kalabsha

So after posting Abu Antar's comic-book style portrait that I painted last year, I was asked by many to do more portraits of other Syrian TV characters in the same style. That's why I finally decided to do Abu Kalabsha!

Abu Kalabsha was introduced in the early seventies on the sitcom Sah El Nom as a police commissioner who always boasted about his detective skills but was almost always outsmarted by the show's main protagonist, Ghawwar. Abu Kalabsha was played by the late Syrian actor Abdul Latif Fathi.

Commission: Super Saiyan James Harden

The client wanted me to draw a Super Saiyan James Harden charging up, with a Kami's Lookout that holds the Houston skyline in the background. He wanted the entire thing to be in the style of an actual DBZ cartoon/illustration.

Batfleck and the Bomb

I'm a huge fan of Ben Affleck's Batman and I really enjoyed the Justice League movie but I just could not resist drawing this.

Up, Up and Away!

I recently found this great Superman sketch by the late Curt Swan and decided to ink and color it since I have nothing better to do these days. I colored it in a sort of retro style to give it that 70s look.

Abu Antar

Abu Antar is a TV character that was portrayed by the late Syrian actor Naji Jaber and was one of my favorite TV characters growing up. Abu Antar was introduced in the early seventies on the sitcom Sah El Nom as a typical Damascene thug who always relied on brawn to get his way. The character was a huge success and soon became very popular throughout the Arab World as a symbol of strength and humor.

This portrait that I painted in a superhero comic-book style is my way of paying homage to the character.

Batman vs Killer Croc

I thought it might be cool if Batman ran into Killer Croc in the jungle, plus I wanted to redesign the Batsuit.

Just felt like drawing the Bronze Age Batman on a gargoyle.

I don't think this is how Batman is going to look in the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie but I thought it would be cool to design some kickass body armor anyway!

Eighties Superman Flies Again

Just another piece to add to my portfolio. The eighties Superman is the best version of Superman in my opinion. This piece is inspired by the work of a number of legendary artists who drew Superman in the eighties.
